What ChargeRoute is
ChargeRoute is a route-based EV charging station finder built for drivers in India. Instead of just showing chargers near a single point, ChargeRoute looks at your entire journey — from your starting point to your destination — and surfaces verified charging stations along the way, so range anxiety doesn't decide your route for you.
Why we built it
Electric vehicle adoption in India is growing faster than charging infrastructure information is keeping up. Existing maps often show outdated listings, chargers with no real connector or power-rating data, or stations that were never actually built. We wanted a tool that filters for genuinely verified charging data and organizes it the way a driver actually plans a trip — point A to point B, not a scattered pin map.
How it works
ChargeRoute uses Google's Routes and Places platforms to compute your actual driving route, then searches at multiple points along that route for electric vehicle charging stations with confirmed connector types and charging speeds. Results are filtered by your vehicle type and connector compatibility, and ordered by distance along the route rather than straight-line distance.
Current status
ChargeRoute is currently in an early test-build phase. Station data comes directly from Google's mapping platform and reflects what businesses and charging network operators have listed publicly — we don't independently inspect every station in person yet. We're actively working towards letting station owners verify and update their own listings directly on ChargeRoute.
